Vocational Preparation
The students gain practical experiences which is linked to their own living environment. In a safe space of mutual respect and cooperation, students try out new activities, learn from their mistakes, earn recognition and grow through their experience.
Students can take part in our vocational preparation seminars. Those include rhetoric and vocal education workshops, an introduction to digital applications and preparation for job interviews.
Year 7
- participation in the process of an assessment of individual strengths (the so-callesd "Potentialanalyse") in cooperation with the Chamber of Crafts Thuringia
- introduction to different professional fields
- Training to use Office 365 (with a special focus on using Word, Power Point and Excel)
Year 8
- preparation for the student's internships
- Girls Day/ Boys Day
- identifying key competencies and skills
- discoversing individual developmental potentials
- a 1-week internship
- career counselling in cooperation with job center Erfurt on a regular basis
- participation in "Forum Berufsstart"
Year 9
- 2-week internship
- career counselling in cooperation with job center Erfurt on a regular basis
- field trip to visit the employment office (Agentur für Arbeit)
- "ambassadors for apprenticeships" of IHK Erfurt
- creating and designing a digital application portfolio
- participation in "Forum Berufsstart"
Year 10
- job application training
- fiels trips to job fairs like Traumberuf IT und Technik
- regular career consultation appointments for all students
- field trip to visit the employment office and the BIZ
Year 11+12
- rhetoric courses
- voice training
- university preparation
- job application training
